The annual Public Speaking Competition for Second level schoolgirls takes place each November at local level. The winners and runners up are then sent forward to the National Public Speaking Competition.

The BPW Young Business Woman of the Year Award was organised for a number of years and local winners had the opportunity to promote their businesses on the national stage at the finals in Dublin. This competition has been taken over by commercial companies.

Events have been organised over the years to provide funds for a variety of Charities, to support a music summer school and to provide a crèche for women in Adult Education. Through the National Federation we have contributed to a number of global projects organised by BPW International in support of women.

We are affiliated to the National Federation of BPW Ireland  and through this Federation, we are connected to BPW Europe Division and to BPW International.

The International BPW has affiliation to the UN and to all the Federations world wide.
